WINTER 2009

2009 is a year that will be remembered for a long time to come, as a time of stress but also as the starting point for what must be a brighter future for us all

In case you missed it, our local newspapers were kind enough to tell a bit of my story this year.  In January, Brevard Business News published a profile on me ("Milo Zonka flying high piloting Zonka & Associates").  Not to be outdone, Florida Today took a crack at it in August ("Palm Bay's Zonka does his homework").

LPL Financial received some well-deserved attention in the November issue of Financial Planning magazine ("We've Arrived"), further highlighting the many resources that are available to my clients through our relationship with LPL Financial.

As we look forward to new opportunities in 2010 and beyond, I'm grateful to my clients, family and friends for another year together.

Speaking of 2010, an important financial planning opportunity is coming January 1.  While many people have considered the value of a Roth IRA, not everyone has been eligible to contribute or convert a portion of their Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA.

Starting in 2010, all individuals will be eligible to convert all or a portion of their IRA or employer-sponsored plan into a Roth IRA. Roth IRAs offer the potential benefit of tax-deferred growth and tax-free distributions when certain requirements are met. This legislative change could represent an excellent financial opportunity for many people.  More to follow on this opportunity, or call/email me and I'll answer whatever questions you have.

To 2010!
